2.Scope and agreement
These Terms govern use of our website and the advisory and coordination services we agree to provide. Our services are intended for adults aged 18 or over who can enter into binding agreements. Please read these Terms before requesting a service. We will provide or make available the applicable terms for your acceptance before a service commitment or charge is agreed.
A website inquiry does not itself confirm an appointment, reserve jewelry or create an obligation to purchase. Any specific written service agreement supplements these Terms and prevails for that service where inconsistent, subject to mandatory law. A supplier’s sale terms govern its sale of jewelry and do not remove our obligations for our own services.
3.Our role
ILANIE HADID provides personal guidance in selecting new fine and high jewelry, diamond and gemstone sourcing, and coordination of bespoke commissions and selected design adaptations through suppliers and ateliers.
Under our current model, the selected supplier sells and invoices the jewelry directly to you and handles fulfillment. We do not act as the seller or manufacturer of that jewelry. The supplier’s identity and role will be made clear before you commit. We remain responsible for our own advisory and coordination services and for obligations that applicable law places on us.
4.Recommendations and information
Recommendations are based on your brief, the information available to us and the scope agreed with you. Please provide accurate information about preferences, sizing, budget, location and timing, and confirm important instructions in writing. We do not offer authentication or appraisal of existing collections as part of our standard service. Diamond origin (natural or laboratory-grown), known gemstone treatments, metal specifications and any grading reports relevant to a proposed purchase should be clearly identified in the supplier’s written description before commitment.
Photographs, videos and screen displays may vary in apparent color, scale and detail. We will clarify material specifications available to us before you decide. Any uncertainty or material change should be resolved before purchase. Website images do not guarantee availability of a particular piece.
Where certificates or grading reports are supplied, we will clarify the issuing body and available details. Remote guidance and document review cannot establish every aspect of authenticity, condition or workmanship. Any specialist testing or inspection must be separately arranged where needed. Our service is not an investment recommendation, formal valuation or guarantee of future value or resale.
5.Commissions, fees and costs
We receive an agreed commission from the supplying company when a facilitated purchase is completed. We work independently of any single jewelry house; this does not mean we receive no supplier remuneration.
Any separate advisory, sourcing, appointment or coordination fee must be disclosed and accepted in writing before the relevant paid service begins. The scope, amount, currency, applicable taxes, payment schedule and cancellation or refund conditions will be stated. No separate fee is created simply by submitting an inquiry.
Jewelry prices, quote validity, deposits, taxes, delivery, insurance, customs duties and other applicable charges must be clarified in the supplier’s written quotation or order terms before commitment. We will not incur an additional charge on your behalf without your approval.
6.Appointments and availability
Appointments are confirmed individually and depend on availability, location, selected pieces and viewing requirements. Residence, hotel lounge and international arrangements are agreed case by case. Please notify us promptly if you need to change or cancel.
Any appointment charge or cancellation condition must be disclosed and agreed before booking. We do not impose an undisclosed cancellation fee. If you wish to end an ongoing advisory or sourcing service, contact us in writing. Any amount due for work already authorized and performed, and any refund of unused prepaid fees, will be determined by the terms agreed before that paid service began and mandatory law. We do not retain unearned fees merely because a service has ended. If we need to reschedule, we will discuss suitable alternatives and address any prepaid service fee according to the agreed terms and applicable law.
7.Orders and payment
A selection, introduction or quotation is not a confirmed jewelry order. The supplier confirms order acceptance and any reservation. Pay jewelry invoices directly to the identified supplier using verified payment instructions. Please query unexpected changes to payment details through a previously verified contact channel. We cannot bind a supplier to a price, reservation or sale term without its authorization.
8.Bespoke commissions and adaptations
Before authorizing production, review and approve the supplier’s written specifications, dimensions, sizing, materials, gemstone details, price and estimated schedule, along with any drawings or designs provided. Confirm whether images are illustrative or form part of the agreed specifications.
Changes after approval may affect feasibility, price and timing. The supplier must confirm those effects and obtain your agreement before proceeding. Bespoke cancellation, deposit and return conditions must be explained before commitment. Custom status does not remove rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable rights for defects or nonconformity.
9.Delivery, returns and aftercare
The supplier’s written purchase terms should identify delivery arrangements, estimated timing, insurance, responsibility during transit, any import obligations, warranties, cancellation and return conditions, and the procedure for reporting problems. These should be available for your review before payment. We do not promise a universal return period or warranty across suppliers.
We assist with communication and coordination. Report damage, defects, incorrect items or other concerns promptly to the supplier and to us, retaining relevant photographs, packaging and documentation where practical. A request to report promptly does not shorten any statutory entitlement.
Refunds for jewelry purchases are handled by the seller under its applicable terms and the law. Any refund for a separate service fee charged by us is our responsibility under the agreed service terms and applicable law.
10.Referrals and professional partners
Professional introductions do not automatically create a partnership, exclusivity or entitlement to payment. Referral scope, client permission, communication, confidentiality and any fee must be agreed separately in writing.
Where a paid referral arrangement is agreed, eligibility, calculation, payment timing and treatment of cancellations or refunds are governed by that agreement. Partners must not make commitments or representations on our behalf without written authority.
11.Privacy and confidentiality
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Relevant details may need to be shared with selected suppliers or service providers to carry out your request, as described in that policy. We treat private client information with discretion, subject to necessary service disclosures and legal obligations.
Please share only information and images you are entitled to provide. Information you submit remains yours. You permit us to use it only as reasonably needed to respond to or carry out your request, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy. Public use of your name, images, testimonial or acquisition details requires your permission.
12.Website content and acceptable use
Website text, branding, designs and imagery belong to us or their respective owners or licensors. You may view the website for personal use. Commercial reproduction, redistribution or exploitation requires the relevant owner’s permission, except where permitted by law.
Do not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious software, impersonate others or submit unlawful content. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security or misuse prevention, without affecting accrued contractual or statutory rights. Third-party links are provided for convenience; external providers are responsible for their own content and services.
13.Responsibility and service interruptions
We will exercise reasonable care and skill in our services. We are responsible for our own acts and omissions as required by law. Suppliers are responsible for their own sale, manufacturing and fulfillment obligations, without excluding any duty that the law also places on us.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access, third-party performance or outcomes outside our reasonable control. If an event affects an agreed service, we will inform you and discuss practical next steps, including any applicable cancellation or refund rights.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. No provision is intended to waive a mandatory right to compensation, refund, repair, replacement or other remedy.
14.Questions, complaints and applicable law
For a question or complaint, call +971 50 217 10 55 or email ilanie@ilanisdiamonds.com with the relevant service or supplier reference, a description of the issue and your preferred resolution. We will acknowledge receipt, retain a record of the complaint, provide a reference or other means of following its progress, and work to address the matter within a reasonable time, without limiting any statutory deadline or remedy. You may approach the competent consumer protection authority without first completing our internal process.
These Terms, your use of this website, our advisory and coordination services, and any contractual or non-contractual obligations, claims or disputes arising out of or relating to them are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws applicable in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules, the competent courts of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over such disputes. This clause does not determine the governing law of a separate supplier purchase contract, which must be checked before you commit. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections, a legally available right to complain to an authority, or a court right that cannot be waived, including where applicable to international clients.
15.Changes and contact
We may update these Terms for future website use and services. The updated version will display its revision date. Changes do not retrospectively alter an existing agreement unless lawfully agreed or required by law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in exercising a right does not by itself waive it. These Terms are presented in English; Arabic versions of consumer information and contractual documents will be provided where required by UAE law. Mandatory language requirements prevail over any translation inconsistency.
